This week’s guide gets a little spooky with two Halloween-themed events – an over-the-top costume ball and a tea party-inspired fashion show. There’s also local jewelry sales, the annual Fusion + Fashion show and a trunk show from new upcycled line Seams Vintage.
Thursday: Jewelry Trunk Show @ Gallery 360
What: 360 degrees of art means art is everywhere you look. That is exactly what it feels like when you put on a piece of jewelry from Gallery 360. This weekend the gallery and shop is featuring a trunk show with pieces from local designers Jennifer Merchant (pictured), Annika Kaplan and Tova Lund, plus 10% off all clothing and jewelry.

Thursday: Il Tempo Vola
What: The Italian “Il Tempo Vola” means “time flies,” the theme of this pre-Halloween fashion show and tea party from local neo-Victorian lines. KMK Designs and Scoundrelle’s Keep celebrate their new collaborative line with a tea party-themed fashion show. The evening also includes an emerging designer showcase with six up-and-coming names. VIP tickets are $20 and include reserved seating and swag bags that include some pretty products from local beauty line the Elixery; general admission tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the door.

Friday: Fusion+Fashion
What: The local chapter of the International Interior Design Association is back with another edition of its annual charity event, Fusion+Fashion. Not your average show, designers are challenged, Project Runway-style, to create couture from a “built environment.” The outfit in question can be made of anything that is not naturally occurring. Pantone Color of the Year, Tangerine Tango, is this year’s color scheme, and the audience is encouraged to wear all back to offset the bright stage. Appropriately, Project Runwayalumni, including locals Raul Osorio and Christopher Straub, will be as judges. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to People Serving People, a local homeless shelter. Tickets are $55 for IIDA members, $45 for IIDA student members, and $75 for non-members.

Saturday: Vogue Trash Costume Fashion Ball
What: Halloween just isn’t Halloween without a costume. Need an idea for this years All Hallows’ Eve? Every crazy costume you could think of and even ones you can’t imagine will be spooking their way down the catwalk for this years Vogue Trash Costume Fashion Ball. All the avant-garde looks and performance art goes to benefit Patrick’s Cabaret as they prepare for their up coming season. Along with a night of fashion there will also be an open dance party with breakers doing their thing and dirty electro and house on the ones and twos. VIP tickets are $20 in advance and include best seating and a free drink; general admission tickets are $10 at the door only.

Saturday: Carrier Pigeon Open Studio
What: Each handcrafted piece of jewelry by Carrier Pigeon is a one-and-only, crafted in designer Lauren Neal’s Northeast Studio out of fine metals in original settings inspired by nature. This Saturday the designer will be offering a closeout sale on old pieces, with prices starting at $20, plus showcasing her classic line of sterling silver, gold vermeil, bronze and brass goodies as well as previewing pieces from her Spring 2013 line.

Saturday: Seams Vintage Trunk Show
What: Local line Inspire by Gaochen & Nonmala is relaunching as Seams Vintage. Bust out the champagne and toast to this new, retro-inspired line, meet designer Nonmala Xiong and shop the new fall looks, which include upcycled clothing and accessories.
