Arts columnist:
Are you clued into the local art scene and looking to get involved? Are you a self-starter looking to make a project your own? L’étoile is currently looking for an arts columnist to pen a weekly column, focused on local arts spanning major institutions to small, independent galleries. We are currently a volunteer-run online publication that is a strong, trusted brand that has been based in the Twin Cities for the past eight years. Being a self-starter is a must – this person would take ownership over arts coverage in the publication, pitching ideas to the editor but largely working independently. This person should already be attending local art shows and familiar with local artists as well as established arts venues (the Walker, MIA) and have the availability to review one or more key art shows happening on a weekly basis. Social Media & Analytics Manager:
If you’re a hands-on self-starter looking for a project to helm, this is a job for you. L’étoile is currently a volunteer-run online publication that is a strong, trusted brand that has been based in the Twin Cities for the past eight years. After recently relaunching from a blog format to an online magazine format, as well as amping up contributors and content, we are looking to take things to the next level. That’s where you come in: having a solid social media strategy in place is key to us building upon our brand and reputation to have a strong social media presence and guide our content. This person would be responsible for developing and overseeing the execution of strategic social media initiatives – including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr, and Instagram – and integrating interactive media into the overall business strategy. Other responsibilities include tracking analytics, reporting data, and offering solutions that support our objectives. Working knowledge of social media and analytics required; previous professional experience not required but helpful.
