The buzz around the local social media landscape today are two locally-made videos for two fast-rising Twin Cities acts. Today saw the debut of the new P.O.S. live video for “Bumper,” a new track off his forthcoming album We Don’t Even Live Here, as part of the “City of Music” series that originated on MPLS.TV that’s been picked up by Pitchfork. He’s backed by a full band that includes Poliça drummers Ben Ivascu and Drew Christopherson, DJ Plain Ole Bill, and what appears to be the pixelated face of Gayngs’/Marijuana Deathsquads’ Ryan Olson, as directed by Dan Huiting:
Yesterday saw the debut of Poliça’s music video for “Dark Star,” directed by local visual gurus David Jensen and Isaac Gale (two of the guys responsible for the Bon Iver video album), with production by Kate Iverson of Permanent Art & Design Group:
