We here at LOL/OMG! have heard for a while that several local designers have been on the short list for future seasons of Project Runway. Today, one of our own is officially IN and we (to use Tim Gunn’s turn of phrase) find it thrilling!
This morning, Lifetime has announced the cast for the 10th season of Project Runway. Among the 16 contestants competing in the coming season is none other than Minneapolis-based designer Raul Osorio! This makes Raul the fifth designer with local ties to appear on the show (joining Katy Gerdes, Ra’mon Lawrence Coleman, Christopher Straub, and last season’s Danielle Everine).
We, of course, are ecstatic over this news and wish Raul all the luck in the world. Especially tonight, since according to Tom and Lorenzo, the first challenge takes place tonight with a runway show in Times Square (at 8 pm Eastern Time for any readers in NYC)!
The tenth season of Project Runway will premiere on Thursday, July 19, and l’étoile will be planning a party for the premiere. There will be more to come, but for now let’s all support #TeamRaul.
