by staff

Now: Ship&Shape launches spring collection.
What
: Along with their usual collection of handmade jewelry and ceramics, Minneapolis-based e-retailer Ship&Shape has added even more handmade goods to pick and choose from, making this their largest selection yet. The featured letterpress gift cards offer a cheery canvas for an invitation or a scribbled thank-you to a friend. New beaded necklaces are perfect for a casual, colorful touch to any ensemble. Since December, Annie Larson, Annika Kaplan, Erin Smith and other artists have contributed to the quarterly collections. Their e-Shop now features a permanent collection, making certain items always available to be handmade as ordered. Peruse their spring collection now for other additions including hand-built skateboards, games and more.

Friday: Minneapolis Meets Trunk Club
What:
The Chicago-based men’s shopping phenomenon known as Trunk Club makes its first Minneapolis appearance this weekend with an in-store trunk show. Never heard of it? Think of it as Netflix for men’s clothing. Customers start by creating an online profile to explain their personal style and dressing needs. The Club’s experts then shop based on that information, and send the new wardrobe in, you guessed it, a trunk. View the collection, sign up, and enjoy refreshments during the event.
When: 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 6.
Where: Bluebird Boutique, 3909 W 50th Street, Edina. RSVP to elle@trunkclub.com or at 312-622-1428.

Now through Saturday: Yigal Azrouël Pop-Up Shop at Grethen House
What
: A showcase of New York-based designer Yigal Azrouël’s spring collection will stay at the Grethen House for six days. A balance of color and lack of it crosses pantsuits and blazers focused in solid colors, pairing beige with white or brighter hues like royal blue and burnt orange. Dresses, aside from the elegant ebony pieces, are featured in vibrant prints and solid colors as well, featuring high necklines and bare shoulders. Whether for business or pleasure, Azrouël’s spring line has a tempting mix of both.
When
: M-F 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m.-5 p.m., now through Saturday, April 7.
Where
: 4930 France Ave S, Minneapolis, 952-926-8725, www.grethenhouse.com

Saturday: Glam Slam Clothing Swap & Dress-up Party
What
: It’s time for a change – an exchange. Dress in layers upon layers of the clothes you no longer care to mix and match and prepare to trade them to others for pieces you do want. Both men’s and women’s clothing is welcomed, no matter the size, style or season they fit into. In honor of the theme, “Enchanted Spring,” an interactive video playground from Playetta will capture the dress-up as Slow Derek and MC Plastermind bring the party jams. All the clothes left without a home will be donated to charity. Pre-sale tickets are available for $7 on the Grand Slam website and $10 at the door.
When
: 6-9 p.m., Saturday April 7
Where: Slam Factory, 84-98 11th St S, Minneapolis, glamslamswap.com

Now in stores: New arrivals at Martin Patrick 3.
What: This essentials shop exclusively for men is offering a line of down-to-earth folk clothing this spring. Known for their preppy chic and occasionally nautical hues, the new collection is sure to sail along the same lines. Aside from their one-of-a-kind Orfeo Khaki print swim shorts (complete with a floral border), there are tops of plaid and stripes, woven tees and earth-toned blazers and jackets. For those staying within the comfort zone, solid colored V-necks are still making an appearance.
When: Available now.
