Kate Smith was born and raised in a half dozen military bases around the United States before spending her formative years in the Twin Cities. She graduated with honors from a quaint liberal arts college in Iowa, an experience that left her with an incredible knack for composing quasi-literature that accommodates her generation’s rapidly decreasing literacy. Still ever the optimist, Kate has written for METRO Magazine, Minnesota Bride, Twin Cities Business and Midwest Home while moonlighting as a copywriting pen-for-hire. Her passions include her dog and her husband (in that order), a sultry Sazerac and judging people who use Oxford commas.
